Parasites
Human parasites and worms can be a big problem during the summer months.
The stomach, intestines, colon, liver, kidneys, blood and even the brain can contain various parasites. All of these can affect how you feel and dramatically affect your energy levels.
Symptoms include: nervousness, aches and pains that move from place to place in the body, mimicked appendicitis, ulcers and various digestive pain, nausea or diarrhea, itching, acne, foul breath, furred tongue, jaundice, fatigue, menstrual irregularities and insomnia. People often think that parasites are a relic of the past when hygiene was more of a problem. However, there are many ways that parasites can be transmitted to humans. These include food, such as meat, fish and poultry, contact with pets and animals and of course other humans.
Many people now travel to "exotic" parts of the world and many types of parasites can be transferred from person to person. Good hygiene is an important precaution but it is no guarantee against infection.
Some tapeworms which prefer dogs and cats as their hosts can nevertheless be transmitted to humans via petting, grooming and general contact. Children are especially prone to parasites from pets by coming into contain with faeces in gardens, fields and playgrounds. These parasites can then live in a human host. Many tapeworms can live for many years and there have been recorded cases of tapeworms well over 20 years old living inside people.
Because parasites can be found in practically any part of the body, the only way to completely eliminate them is to cleanse the entire body. For example, if only specific organs are cleansed of parasites, they may well migrate to other organs or parts of the body in order to survive.
A complete parasite cleanse is best done in conjunction with a bowel/colon cleanse and a series of cleansing colonics to ensure prompt removal of toxic byproducts, parasite eggs and accumulated waste.
Protecting From Future Parasites
Once you have eliminated them from your system, it is necessary to prevent their reoccurrence. To protect yourself from them in the future you should do the following:
Wash foods thoroughly to rinse away parasites and their eggs. There are specific methods that are particularly helpful.
Store foods carefully to prevent contamination. Insects that infest foods can bring parasites with them.
Be careful with animals. Body fluids from animals should be washed away promptly.
Be faithful and thorough with your own personal hygiene. This is particularly true of fingers that too often unconsciously contact sensitive areas such as the eyes and mouth.
Do not drink unsafe water. Chlorination in water does not stop some microscopic life forms. Have your water tested.
Avoid antibiotics (if possible) which kill "good flora" in the body. Remember, antibiotics are in many meat products.
Exercise regularly to increase oxygen circulation in the body.
Nutrition
* Avoid simple carbohydrates such as are found in refined foods, fruits, juices, dairy products, and all sugars.
* Eliminate caffeine and alcohol.
* Eat more raw garlic, pumpkin seeds, pomegranates, beets, and carrots, all of which have antiworm properties.
Drink a lot of water to promote good bowel elimination.
* Digestive enzymes will help restore your intestinal tract to its normal state, which makes it inhospitable to parasites. Papain taken 30 minutes before or after meals helps kill worms.
Acidophilus supplements help normalize bowel bacteria (one half tea spoon with meals).
* Vitamin C (250 to 500 mg two times a day) and zinc (20 to 30 mg per day) support the immune system.
